Raise Your Voice for Early Detection

American Cancer Fund-Screamin’ for Screenings

We're encouraging kids and teens nationwide to raise their voices and champion the importance of early detection through regular screenings. By making screenings a routine part of healthcare, we can save lives and build healthier futures for the people we love.

Why Screamin’ for Screenings?

Screenings save lives, yet too many people put them off.

We’re here to inspire kids and teens to talk with their families about the importance of early detection. Together, we can normalize screenings and make them a routine part of life.

Breast Cancer

When breast cancer is detected early and is still localized, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%.

Cervical Cancer

Regular cervical cancer screenings, such as Pap smears and HPV tests, are highly effective. When detected early, the 5-year survival rate is nearly 100%.

Prostate Cancer

Since 1990, prostate cancer mortality rates have decreased by 90%. This decline is often attributed to an increase in PSA screenings.
